Re-Used Frames

A quick search on the internet will give you plenty of clever ideas on how to repurpose an old picture frame such as turning it into a tray, or a blackboard or using chalk paint to restyle it.  However, if you like the look of the frame and not the artwork, you can still reuse for its original purpose.  Old frames found at markets and second-hand stores are often unique pieces with character and interest.  Antique picture frames can also be quite valuable.  With the right artwork, they can be once again hung on the wall in all their glory!

If the frame is in good condition, you can custom print an artwork or photo to fit the dimensions.  Adding a mat board can be also made to fit.

If the frame is on the larger side, you can have it cut down or even made into two smaller frames when size allows.

If the frame has a small amount of damage, it is repairable.  Wooden frames come up like new with a light sand and new coat of wax or stain.  Gilding and damage to moulding can be repaired along with touch-ups to damaged paint work.
